Equipped with 4-Wheel Electronic Traction Control (4ETC) and Hill Descent Control (HDC), the SE3 uses its advanced ABS-based system to maintain control on any terrain. When a wheel loses traction, 4ETC automatically applies braking to that wheel, redirecting torque to where it’s needed most. Meanwhile, HDC pulses the brakes to hold a steady 5.6 mph on steep descents the technology first pioneered by Land Rover before spreading to brands like BMW and Toyota. The result? Confident control even without traditional low range gearing.
On road or off, the SE3 is a joy to drive. It offers SUV comfort and even a touch of luxury, while also giving you the thrill of a convertible. The design keeps front passengers covered (with a removable front sunroof option), while the rear roof section can be removed easily by one person just undo four interior latches and four Torx bolts on the roof rails, and you’re enjoying the trail with the wind in your hair.
